Review of 2024-25 activity

2024-25 has been a time of exciting growth and development for Liquid Listening, with our busiest year ever and a significant increase in demand for our work.  Highlights of the year included:

  • We trained or gave refresher training to 186 staff at SEN/D schools, an increase of 82% from 2023-24.

  • Our work benefited 2365 pupils in SEN/D schools, an increased of 19% from 2023-24.

  • We welcomed 11 new SEN/D schools into our membership scheme (an increase of 57%) and gave support and refresher training to 11 further schools (an increase of 267%), with trained schools and practitioners now resident in all four countries in the UK.

  • We delivered a Music Creation project in three schools where Musical Hydrotherapy is already part of the curriculum, allowing 40 children to listen to music they had created themselves in the pool - an increase of 14% on 2023-24.

  • We ran our first Network meetings for partner schools and teachers and recruited a new SEN/School Partnership Manager to strengthen our support for partner schools.
