Review of 2021-22 activity

2021/22 has been a time of significant regrowth for Liquid Listening, as both the charity and the special schools we primarily work with have started to emerge from the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.  Highlights included:

  • we trained staff at 3 SEN/D schools

  • we introduced a new delivery model of Musical Hydrotherapy residencies, working in 3 schools

  • we raised significant new project funding from Arts Council England, Ragdoll Foundation and others

  • we commissioned a new piece of underwater music from disabled composer Gwen Sion

  • we delivered our first Music Production project alongside a Musical Hydrotherapy training programme, allowing children in the pool to listen to music they had created themselves

  • we recruited our first ever Executive Director.
